Who ever thought that fooling around with your grandfathers' video camera making movies with your friends on a cold brisk weekend would end up as a career? Nobody did, not even Mike Aransky but after a showing of his short to his High School drama class did it all come together when his late-professor Edward Feeney asked him that important question "That was good, do you want to do this for a living?" hesitantly Mike replied "yeah, sure" and at that moment history was made and the motto Mike lives by was given to him "Never give up doing it and never let any one stop you from fulfilling your dreams". Ten years later that dream is still in fruition, the heart is still the same only thing has changed is the equipment and the stories. With his partners Tom and Phil (who coincidently met working at a fast food restaurant after being fired from the movie theaters) have created a wide assortment of award-winning feature films funded on shoestring budgets all out of pocket. He also has paid his dues to a plethora of such major production establishments as ESPN, CBS and ABC. Many dream of being a film director, but with years of hard work and perspiration Mike is beginning to live it. Ten years and just starting at the peak of his performance, he and his fellow auteurs have created what will seem to be their greatest undertaking so far The Land of College Prophets, a project so large in scale that the three combined forces to create The Halemanor Collective. From editing movies with two old VHS VCRs and a boom box to the newest in hybrid video technology and film, Mike has brought audiences on new journeys to undiscovered worlds and complex-fascinating characters. Storytelling and encompassing the audience is Mike's passion and hopes to bring that love to the screen for many years to come. Directing is a love, not a job. - IMDb Mini Biography By: Tom
